Popis: | It has been almost 50 years since the first glass-ionomer cements (GICs), now officially termed as “glass polyalkenoate cements,” were introduced into the dental world. In recent years this material has undergone further development, resulting in the availability of a range of materials which undergo setting or “curing” via different proportions of acid–base and free-radical reactions. This chapter discusses in detail what GICs are and what are the recent developments in this material. |
