Popis: Protein-energy depletion (PEW) is the depletion of protein/energy reserves observed in the most advanced stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD). PEW is widespread among patients on chronic dialysis and is associated with adverse clinical outcomes, high morbidity/mortality rates and increased healthcare costs. Cheeses are characterized by a significant content of proteins, milk fat, as well as minerals. Cheese proteins are better absorbed in the human body, compared with dairy. Extractive elements of cheeses have a positive effect on the digestive glands, increase appetite. The nutrients contained in cheese are absorbed by the body almost completely.
