Popis: The present research project investigates the effects of emotions (i.e. fear and guilt) in climate communication on individual climate engagement behavior, which we operationalize as donation behavior and information seeking behavior. Furthermore, we aim to analyze climate protection on different spatial levels (i.e. spatially near vs. far). With this research project, we address three core research questions: (1) How do the emotions fear and guilt induced in climate change communication affect climate engagement? (2) How is the physiological stress response to climate messages related to climate engagement behavior? (3) In how far are physiological stress responses or subjectively perceived emotions better predictors of climate engagement behavior?
