Popis: | In this study, we synthesized a new water soluble dinuclear zinc(II) complex, ZnL3, for detection of PPi under indicator displacement assay by using pyrocatechol violet (PV) as sensing indicator. After addition of various anions to the solution of [ZnL3·PV] ensemble, the results showed that only PPi could change the color from blue of ensemble to yellow-green color of free PV. It should be noted that [ZnL3·PV] could discriminate PPi from other phosphate containing anion anions especially ATP in aqueous system. HRMS confirmed that PPi bound to ZnL3 in a dimeric species 2:2 fashion, [2ZnL3·2PPi]. The quantitative detection of PPi by [ZnL3·PV] ensemble ranged from 5 to 25 μM, and a correlation coefficient (R2) = 0.995. The detection limit was 5 μM by the naked eye. |
