Classical and revival time periods of confined harmonic oscillator

Popis: We have used perturbation theory to compute energy eigenvalues, classical and the revival time periods for a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator confined in a box. First we have considered a simple harmonic oscillator as the unperturbed problem and boundary as perturbation. In next case, free particle in a box is considered as unperturbed problem that has been perturbed by a parabolic potential. We have used Fourier Grid Hamiltonian method to estimate classical and revival time period for the confined harmonic oscillator, which crosses smoothly from free particle in a box to a simple harmonic oscillator.
