Popis: | Service on the National Research Council's Committee on the Institutional Means for assessment of Risks to Public Health, which produced the report Risk Assessment in the Federal Government: Managing the Process, known as the Red Book, reinforced to me the concept that risk is a factor in many decisions. The manner in which a Federal regulatory agency used National Cancer Institute bioassay data and their specific model to overestimate risk from a minor by product of water chlorination disappointed me. But the situation is improving. |
