Popis: 1. Brass LS64-2 is not resistant to molten type metal — the strength decreases, the properties are not consistent, and the surface corrodes, which lowers the quality and shortens the service life of matrices. 2. The addition of silicon prevents any sharp weight loss and leads to more consistent properties and corrosion resistance. 3. Hot rolling of brass ingots with additions of silicon increases the service life of matrices still more. This indicates that the service life of brass matrices, depends not only on the composition but also on the method of production.
