The Fano plot in secondary electron emission studies

Popis:	It has been suggested that the technique of the Fano plot may be applicable to the process of secondary electron emission. Previous comparisons of the theoretically predicted and experimentally observed ionisation energies by such means have shown extremely poor agreement. The availability of accurate secondary emission data for a range of materials over a wide range of energies has now made possible a more accurate assessment of the validity of this technique. The observed ionisation energies agree well with the theoretically predicted values.
