Effects of citrate, mandelate and ph on the release of aluminium from aluminosilicates

Popis:	The extraction of aluminium from aluminosilicates, in the form of rock samples and of synthetic zeolites, by solutions containing citrate, mandelate, or acetate has been investigated over a range of pH. Greatly enhanced release of aluminium has been observed in the presence of citrate in the range 3 ≤ pH ≤ 7; mandelate also has a significant effect in this pH region.
