Popis: | Ceramic samples of high- T c superconductors (HTSCs) of the type ABa 2 Cu 3 O 7− δ with A=Yb, Er, Y, Gd, Eu, Sm, Nd and La were prepared to investigate the bonding of the oxygen atoms of the CuO-chains in these compounds by gas evolution measurements. The desorption frequency and the activation energy of these oxygen atoms show a linear dependence on the ionic radius of the A atom. The results are related to the orthorhombicity of the crystal structure of the samples determined from X-ray powder diffraction patterns by Rietveld profile refinements. |
