Popis: The paper considers the problem of experimental estimation of the frequency response functions of precision electric drive systems. Typical examples of such systems are axes of telescopes that are part of space monitoring systems. Some methods of frequency response estimation based on experimental data such as empirical transfer function estimation (Fourier transform), averaged Welch periodograms, estimation and time-frequency analyses of impulse response are considered. The impact of distortions and nonlinearities such as Coulomb friction, torque ripples and cogging torque, discretization noise and others on results of experimental estimation of frequency response functions is considered. Experimental conditions which can reduce the impact of nonlinearities are defined. The switched controller is used to limit the angular velocity and angle of rotation and to provide the permanent sign of the angular velocity for reducing the impact of Coulomb friction. The applicability of the considered approaches to the estimation of the frequency response functions for precision electric drive systems has been approbated on mathematical model of electric drive with a two-mass load using MATLAB.
