Popis: This publication is designed for use at the tactical and operational levels. This manual provides multiservice tactics, techniques, and procedures (MTTP) for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) decontamination. It defines the roles of military units and staffs involved in the preparation, planning, and execution of decontamination operations. It addresses the requirements for the different techniques used in decontamination. This manual focuses on the need for all United States (US) forces to be prepared to fight and win in a CBRN environment. It addresses the support the Department of Defense (DOD) may have to provide to support homeland security (HLS). The planning and coordination for CBRN decontamination takes place with the realization that the potential CBRN environment could be one in which there is deliberate or accidental employment of CBRN weapons, or deliberate or accidental attacks or contamination with toxic industrial material (TIM) (see Joint Doctrine for Operations in Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical [NBC] Environments).
