Popis: In this study, the objective is to clarify the effect of nitrogen on the swelling behavior of 304 austenitic stainless steel by means of HVEM irradiation at 400°C, 500°C and 600°C. Incubation dose was not very sensitive to nitrogen content. The swelling rate was considered by two terms, the void number density and void growth rate. The void number density increased and void growth rate decreased as the nitrogen content increased, with the result that the swelling rate decreased with nitrogen content. The effect of nitrogen became less at 600°C.
