Popis:	Excerpts from the report Summary: A device to mechanize the weighing of chicken parts for packing to predetermined package weights was developed and tested under commercial operating conditions. The purpose of mechanizing the weighing operation was to reduce both the high labor requirements for manual weighing and packing of chicken parts and the amount of product lost in overweight packages in manual operations. The experimental machine accomplished both these aims, but the tests showed there are disadvantages as well as advantages in the mechanized operation.
