Popis: Crystallochemical varieties of montmorillonites differing in composition and distribution of isomorphic ions in silicate layers and exchange cations valency were studied on DTA and DTG curves. Certain variations of position and intensity of endo- and exothermic effects conditioned by processes of dehydration, dehydroxylation and formation of new high-temperature phases are observed. The montmorillonitic component can be calculated by the amount of a m weight loss when heating bentonite samples up to 300°C, held preliminary at relative water vapour pressure P/PS = 0.90.
