Popis: | The paper considers several approaches to protect martensitic steels with ultrafine-grained (UFG) structure in aggressive environments. Scanning electron microscopy was used to study the microstructure and composition of steel substrates and coatings. The samples were also subjected to corrosion tests. Regularities of corrosion behavior were specified for UFG steels. The samples were subjected to ion nitriding in a glow discharge and deposition of protective Ti-Al/TiAlN coatings in a vacuum arc discharge plasma. Adhesion of the coatings was examined with CSM ScratchTEST. Critical load at which microcracks are formed in the coatings was defined for samples with different structures. Corrosion rates were identified for different treatment regimes. |
