Popis: This paper introduces a new hybrid shape optimization method using Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) coupled with a meshless Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solver. This method converges faster to a better optimum compared to GA-CFD or ACO-CFD individually. This hybrid optimiser is a good contender when a global optimum is the target. The efficiency of the hybrid shape optimization method (GA-ACO-CFD) is demonstrated through two validation test cases.
