Popis: Chemical analyses provide information on the presence, concentration and variability of specific contaminants. They do not predict the harmful biological or ecological effects. Bioassays are able to establish a link between the adverse ecological effects and the toxicity of contaminants, and to show the integral effects of all (biologically available) contaminants including those not considered or detected in chemical analyses e.g. bioremediation products.
