Popis: Introduction: The change in demographic dynamics caused by population aging has brought to light the need to redirect behaviors regarding the sexual health of the elderly. Since the vulnerability of elderly people to sexually transmitted infections, associated with the lack of public health promotion with a focus on prevention and education, and the lack of information and professional preparation to deal with sexual problems are factors directly linked to the increase in infected people. It is extremely important to investigate the knowledge and attitudes that dominate the daily lives of this population group. Objective: to identify and synthesize the scientific evidence on the knowledge and attitudes of the elderly regarding sexually transmitted infections. Method: Scoping review according to the JBI methodology. The selected databases are Medline, Cinahl, EMBASE, Scopus, Web of Science, PsycInfo and LILACS for published studies, while for gray literature the following will be used: CAPES Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, Academic Google, Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, EBSCO Open Dissertations, DART-e and ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication. Studies that meet the inclusion criteria will be included: people aged 60 and over, of both sexes, and work on the knowledge and attitudes of elderly people about sexually transmitted infections. The selection of studies will be carried out by two independent reviewers and, in case of controversy, a third reviewer will be contacted. The synthesis of the data will be done in a descriptive way with pictures and tables for information about the findings.
