Popis:	Over the last 5 years, there has been a rapid increase in the incidence of infection and colonisation by multi-drug resistant carbapenemase-producing organisms in the UK. Renal patients are especially susceptible to infection. This article describes how one renal centre dealt with a case of CPE cross-contamination and how other units could learn from this experience.
