Popis: Anti-corrosion coating and cathodic protection are usually combined to protect long-distance oil and gas buried pipelines. In this paper, it was proved that the cathodic protection current density could be a very good response to the working conditions of the pipeline coating and cathodic protection both in theory and practice, and the quality of pipeline coating could be classed by calculation and evaluation of cathodic protection current density. For an analysis of a pipeline with abnormal current density, important parameters such as the coating resistivity per unit area and the leakage current should also be calculated.
