Popis: | The purpose of this study was to determine the feelings and thoughts of patients with Diabetes Mellitus receiving insulin treatment regarding their treatments. While population of the study comprised of all adult patients hospitalized in Internal Clinics of Harran University Research and Application Hospital, Health Department Balikligol State Hospital and Sanliurfa Research and Application Hospital in the city center of Sanliurfa, the sample group consisted of 90 patients. Data collection form, WHO- Five Well-being Index, Measurement Scale for the Determination of Diabetic Problems and Insulin Treatment Assessment Scale were used to obtain the data. The data were assessed by SPSS 11.5 software using percentage, number and frequency. For analysis of difference between groups; while independent samples t test was performed between two groups, analysis of variance was performed in three and more groups. While the duncan test was applied to determine the reason of difference between groups, the correlation was used for the relation between scales. 7.8% of patients had Type 1 DM and 92.2% had Type 2 DM. It was observed that 33.3% of patients have had diabetes for 1–5 years, 21.1% for 6–10 years, 26.6% for 11- 15 years, 12.2% for 16–20 years and 7.8% for more than 21 years. WHO, DISA and ITAS mean scores received from scales were respectively as follows; 7.35±0.431, 42.75±2.019, and 56.25±0.819. While the difference between the mean scores of WHO were not statistically significant according to genders (p>0.05), the difference between mean scores was statistically significant according to age groups (p |
