Popis: | A Compton suppression spectrometer consisting of a system of three Ge detectors surrounded by a BGO shield and a CsI(T1) active collimator has been set up for the use in neutron activation analysis. Tests of the performance of the system concerning Compton suppression, peak reduction and effects of the count rate in an energy range 300–2000 keV are described. A practical test for the determination of iodine in iodized salt is presented. |
