Popis: | Blade passage harmonic tones are a significant component of turbofan engine noise under approach conditions. Active noise control (ANC) offers a tool for suppression of these tones, with the caveat that interference patterns in the sound field can lead to poor or even negative correlation between in‐duct sound pressures and radiated sound power. Various modal decomposition and wavenumber separation schemes have been investigated in attempt to overcome this obstacle. The paper will discuss methods that have been applied to design and implementation of microphone arrays and signal processing techniques to provide unambiguous error signals for ANC systems in these complex acoustical environments and will present results of computer simulations and field tests.
