Popis: 1. The effects of pre- and post-treatment temperatures on the toxicity of allethrin (a synthetic pyrethroid) to the American cockroach were investigated. 2. The toxicity of allethrin was negatively correlated with acclimation (pre-treatment) and posttreatment temperature. 3. The slope of the dose-response curve for allethrin increased with acclimation temperature, but not with post-treatment temperature. 4. Possible acclimative changes that could account for the differences in toxicity are discussed, including degree of saturation of the lipids at or near the target site of allethrin.
