In this article, thermal creep stresses have been investigated for thick-walled circular cylinder with varying compressibility in the radial direction under internal and external pressure with the help of analytical method for different strain measures. Results have been analyzed and discussed numerically as well as graphically. From the numerical results, it has been observed that compressible cylinder with the increase in thermal gradient and nonlinear strain hardening measure under internal and external pressure is better choice for the design as compared to cylinder made of homogeneous material as well as functionally graded materials with linear measure materials. |
