Popis: The problem of high nitrogen steel (HNS) sheets production has not yet been solved. Sheets represent 90 % of the world output of stainless and other steels, but there are no published data about HNS technologies and production of sheets on an industrial scale. The big steel bath (BSB) method and the counter-pressure casting (CPC) have proved [1,2] the possibility of producing highly homogeneous ingots (1.3 and 10 tons) with all alloying elements, including nitrogen. In this way, the BSB and CPC methods have proved themselves to be universal ones for the production of shaped castings [3], HNS electrodes for remelting and sort, as well as, of sheets.
