The Possibility of Increasing Energy Consumption after Using Measures to Reactive Power Compensation

Popis: In this article implementation issues from low-cost energy saving measures are considered by the position of electrical energy consumers interested in decreasing of electricity payment. The governing effects of load, that connects voltage maintenance with the amount of paid active losses and total energy consumption, are analyzed. Simplified analytical expressions that allowed to estimate with engineering calculating error the possible effect of voltage levels on the efficiency of using reactive power compensators are presented in the article. The article also shows possible conditions, leading to increase energy consumption after carrying out energy saving measures such as the reactive power compensation.
