Popis: | Coordinate system rotations performed in spherical mode-space are more accurate than the same rotations performed in field-space, since they alleviate all interpolation-related issues. This paper presents an easy-to-understand algorithm for performing rotations in spherical mode-space. This is followed by the presentation of a set of recurrence relations that can be used to efficiently compute the set of rotation coefficients. Finally, a set of relationships are derived which relate the Euler z-y′-z″ rotations to the more intuitive Az-over-El and El-over-Az rotations. |
