As is evident from this work, often across the EU in each Member State, diversity characterizes the dental team in many of its facets and activities. This characteristic not only distinguishes the Member States from one another, but this diversity also exists within some of them. The lack of harmonization is a gross challenge. Diversity is a key descriptor when discussing dental care professionals (DCPs) in the EU. The EU has acted in patients’ interests as well as those of DCPs. Also, it has exhibited diverse roles, ranging from initiator to coordinator. As mentioned throughout this work, its impact results from activities in sectors other than health care. Therefore, its influence is due to the spillover effect. Activities in one field impact another. |
