Popis:	The application of poly-Si TFTs to flat panel displays will be briefly presented and the techniques available for the formation of poly-Si thin films will be reviewed in terms of the resulting material and device properties. As will be demonstrated, there is now a good understanding of the issues which control the material from a device point of view, but there is still a problem in being able to make a direct correlation between the microscopic properties of the material and its electronic behaviour.
