Popis: In the US, there has been an increase in the number of older adults living with HIV. At the end of 2013, 42% of HIV-infected adults in the US were >50 and 6% were >65. In 1996-1997, a 20-year-old with HIV infection had a life expectancy of 19 years, while in 2011, life expectancy had improved to 53 years [1]. In our clinic which provides care to approximately 660 HIV-infected adults, about 9% of active patients are >65.
