Popis: The reactions of Me2NNNNMe2 with Et2Be,Pri2Be, and But2Be yielded 1:1 dative-bonded complexes and complexes with two beryllium alkyls per tetramethyltetrazene, the latter being more stable.Pyrolysis of the 2:1 compounds near 200°C has resulted in the formation of low molecular weight polymers containing BeH and RBe, perhaps serving as bridging groups, and Me2NNNNMe2 apparently serving as a linking agent for the beryllium atoms.
