Psychological Components of the Quality of Life of Students with Voice Impairment

Popis: The article is devoted to the description of the results of an empirical study of the quality of life in students (boys and girls) with a pathology of the vocal apparatus and their conditionally healthy peers. As a result of the work carried out, the features of the psychological structure of the quality of life of boys and girls with voice impairments were identified in comparison with conditionally healthy respondents. The influence of readiness for self-development on the quality of life of boys and girls with voice disorders was studied. It turned out that the severity of cognitive needs and readiness for selfdevelopment is a significant factor influencing the psychological structure of the quality of life of individuals. At the same time, the structure of the quality of life includes components of readiness for selfdevelopment, existential fulfillment, internal resources, personal activity and satisfaction with life.
