Popis: | The most reliable data on the structure of individual gold(I, III, V–VII) fluorides in different physical states under matrix isolation and ultrahigh pressure conditions were presented and summarized. The vibrational spectra of binary gold fluorides in different oxidation states were analyzed. Special attention was paid to the spectra of the anomalously strong Lewis acid AuF5. The molecular structure of AuFk (k = 4–7) and AumFn (m = 2, 3; n = 6, 9) in the condensed state was conjectured based on the analysis of the spectroscopic, electron diffraction, and X-ray diffraction data and quantum-chemical calculations. |
