Popis: The present study which determined the fecundity of the four-spot megrim, Lepidorhombus boscii in the Aegean Sea was carried out between May 2009 and April 2010. In total 1864 individuals were collected, from which 1283 (68.83%) were females and 521 (27.95%) males while 60 (3.22%) failed to be determined in terms of sexuality with sex ratio (♀:♂) of 1:0.41. Gonadosomatic indices of females and males were observed to be maximum in April and February, respectively. Eyed-side ovarian lobes were significantly heavier than blind-side ovarian ones (paired t-test; df = 33, t = -8.755, P < 0.05). Total fecundity ranges from 29 977 to 282 937 oocytes per female, with an average value of 89 132 ± 58 703. The total fecundity increased exponentially with length (F = 5943.8 × e 0.1152×L) and linearly with weight (F = 731.87 × W + 8484.8).
