The application of optimal criteria for the earth grounding design has led to the distinct areas of their realization in the electrode length-distance plane. This situation determined the approach in the present paper of the minimal dispersion surface criterion. Considered initially appropriate for the equalization of new type electrodes with traditional ones, this optimal criterion is useful for completing the perspective on earth grounding optimal design. In the used methodology, a preliminary step was applied and developed, consisting in the determination of the electrode length-distance combinations which ensure the achievement of the earth grounding nominal resistance. Also, analytical identification has been used for the correction function from the utilization coefficient expression. For the technical data of the earth grounding with vertical electrodes and rectangular contour the total dispersion surfaces were calculated. Finally, the coordinates of the minimum dispersion surface were determined, and observations and conclusions were made regarding the application of the optimal criteria in the earth grounding design. |
