Popis: A 41-year-old female complaining of nausea, vomiting and a tumor formation in the left mammary gland was diagnosed to have gastric and left breast cancers. Because of the advanced states (S3H0P2N2 stage IV) of gastric cancer, absolute non-curative total gastrectomy and excisional biopsy of the mammary tumor were carried out. Histological findings of the breast tumor was almost same as the findings of the gastric cancer, and it was concluded that the breast tumor was metastatic from the gastric cancer. Metastatic tumors in the mammary glands are very rare, and their preoperative diagnoses are so difficult. However it is important that possible metastatic breast cancer must be ruled out in patients who have been found or already treated for malignant tumors on the other organs. It may lead to more rational therapy and avoidance of unnecessary radical surgery.
