Popis: | Rapid advancements in MVDC transmission technologies is increasing its prospects to achieve more flexible, reliable, and efficient ways to evacuate power from renewable energy resources to load centers. In this paper, a new scheme to directly integrate wind/solar parks with MVDC transmission system is presented. A new soft switched modular DC-DC converter with high gain is used to connect the DC output from solar panels/wind farms with the MVDC transmission system. The mathematical analysis and the design of DC-DC converter is presented in the paper. The coordinated control of DC-DC converter with the MVDC network is also discussed in the paper. The dynamic performance of the proposed scheme is validated by simulation studies done in PSCAD/EMTDC. |
