Popis: | In 1951 the writer conceived the idea of having subjects associate colors with various stimulus words as a means of evaluating personality and dif ferentiating various diagnostic groups. The Word Color Association Test was originally conceived as a projective technique for clinical use, but it soon became apparent that it might be adaptable for group use with very little loss of information. The present study is the first in a s e r i e s in tended to validate the technique. The following hy potheses were selected for the initial investigation: (1) Certain colors are more commonly associated with a given concept than other colors, (2) certain colors are rarely associated with certain concepts, and (3) these associations will remain relatively stable over a period of time. |
