Popis: Boot of white kid, the upper very skilfully cut in one piece with a tiny throat on the inside top for good fit; it laces up inside over a tongue, the silk braid lace being knotted at the bottom; square slightly upturned toe; slightly wedged 1 in. heel covered in black kid; sueded sole shaped for left foot with black edge "finish" under the arch; white silk tassel decoration on the front. It is reputed to have belonged to Queen Adelaide, wife of William IV, died 1849, and the style is possible for c.1834 but is more likely to be c.1850.
