Popis: | A cw-pumped neodymium-doped silica fiber laser is mode-locked by feeding back the light from a linear external cavity with vibrating mirror. The duration of the laser pulses is measured in dependence on the mismatch between the lengths of main and external cavity. The shortest pulses have a full width at half maximum (fwhm) of 32 ps. They are generated if the laser cavity is 3.2 mm shorter than the external cavity. In general the laser pulses are not bandwidth-limited. |
