Popis: | Mathematical models, the most widely applied of which are the Heckel and Kawakita models, are used in modern research on the compression process to estimate tablet mechanical properties. However, these models have several limitations associated with the inability to consider all processes occurring in parallel during interparticle interaction. In 1999, a group of scientists developed a new approach based on the so-called Kuenz–Leuenberger equation. The present article analyzed modern research on the applicability of this equation for comparing the most common models used for describing the tablet compression process. |
