Popis:	IN a recent issue of this journal Appell (1967a : 178-185) used hard and injurious terms in ad hominem arguments to impugn my northern Borneo ethnographic research and publications. AppelTs criticisms fall into three classes, (1) that I have misreported data of Dusun culture and society, (2) that I have contradicted myself in my publications and (3) that I have misused some anthropological definitions in analyzing data of Dusun culture and society.
