Popis: | An investigation was carried out under the conditions described in Fig. 1, with the aim of studying the ability of the yeast ( Saccharomyces cerevisiae ) to reduce 2-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1-cyclohexanone ( 1 ) during different age periods of the culture, using different media during the incubation period. The absolute configuration of the major enantiomers of the alcohol produced was determined to be cis-(1S,2S)-( 2 a) and trans-(1S,2R)-2-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1-cyclohexanol ( 3 a), respectively. |
