Popis: Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are defined by a disability in social insight and communication, and the presence of restrictive and repetitive patterns of behavior. Aspects of these diagnostic criteria can be related to behaviors that generate legal problems for people with ASD. Defense strategies, including invoking the concept of counterfeit deviance and the insanity defense, may be considered in the legal representation of people with ASD accused of crimes.
