Popis: | A parallel beam of light is incident at normal incidence on the convex spherical mirror under test. The divergent reflected beams are collected with a positive lens to form a bright spot on a screen. The lens is at a distance of twice its focal length from both the screen and the spherical surface. A relation between the aperture of the lens, its focal length, the diameter of the bright spot and the radius of curvature of the spherical mirror is derived. The method is simple and needs little space and few optical components. |
