Popis: | The effect of V-doping on the critical fluctuations in Cr observed by inelastic neutron scattering is reviewed. The recent observation of anomalously high thermal expansion in Cr at temperatures approaching the melting point is discussed in relation to work that seemed to show that there is a magnetovolume associated with spin fluctuations seen up to about twice the Neel temperature. Cr alloys containing Mn exhibit many characteristic spin-glass properties; work on binary CrMn alloys is reviewed. |
