A Numerical Scheme for Gas Dynamics Equation Involving Caputo-Fabrizio Time-Fractional Derivative

Popis: In this paper, a numerical algorithm based on extended cubic B-spline functions is presented for the approximate solution of the fractional order gas dynamics model. The proposed technique employs the finite difference formulation to discretize the Caputo-Fabrizio time fractional derivative and uses extended cubic B-spline functions to interpolate the solution curve along the spatial direction. A stability analysis of the scheme is conducted which confirms that the error does not amplify during the execution of the numerical procedure. The derivation of uniform convergence is also supplied. Some computational experiments are carried out to verify the theoretical results. The obtained results achieved by the proposed method indicate the easy implementation and effectiveness of the approach used in the article.
