Direct torque control for the induction motor fed matrix converter (DTC-MC) has been extensively studied. The control of the stator flux and the torque in DTC-MC is made through voltage vector selection in the switching table with 6 sectors. This switching table has some voltage vectors that do not produce the strongest torque response.This paper considers DTC-MC using a switching table with 12 sectors (12-DTC-MC structure), which provide a better torque response than DTC-MC using a switching table with 6 sectors (6-DTC-MC structure). The advantages and disadvantages of both structures are analyzed through the simulation results. |
